Depression Prevention Program

There is hope.  Clinical depression is a medical illness that can be effectively treated.

The Depression Prevention Program, directed by Ellen Frank, Ph.D., provides information and treatment for depression in adults.  Our office is located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  For more than 25 years, the Depression Prevention Program has assessed and treated several thousand adults suffering from depression.

Dr. Frank's group is dedicated to providing a space where persons suffering with depression can better understand the illness and learn to cope with it through personal support and treatment.

The purposes of this site are:

1. Provide information to adults, their families and caregivers, and health care providers, on depression.

2. Provide a local referral source for adults in the Pittsburgh area seeking treatment.

3. Provide links to to other internet resources for adults and their families.
